First of all, I'd like to thank all who took the time to attend the chalet, be it for the full shot or just dropping by.
I'd also like to thank your understanding for the financial part of the chalet, it really helped me a lot.
I'd also like to thank the mastermind for the cake, appreciated it!

And to you, whom as I said, might have taken the trouble to come down.

Sadly, however, I think it may just be the last of its kind. I hope you have appreciated this experience, whatever you may have taken away, and make it something unforgettable.

Chalet details

Well, chalet is again, on the 24th -26th of December, which is Wednesday to Friday.

Cycling should have a part in the activities, and someone bring along a soccer ball, volleyball too.

Not forgetting cards and mahjong sets for nocturnal entertainment!

This is the plan for now, meet at Compass Point at 1300hrs on the 24th, where we will set off.

LJ, please bring the NTUC card, thanks!

I will take a worst-case-scenario $30 per head, if there is any surplus I will refund accordingly.
BBQ is on the 25th...

Again, those unconfirmed, please try to make it, at least for a night, 'cos they probably won't be anything like this anymore, from a logistical and monetary standpoint

Its the travel season, in the past and next few weeks people have and will be going to exotic and mysterious lands. Yes its an exaggeration. Well, I'll be going to Taiwan for a week from Monday onwards, so this'll be the last post for a week(not that its updated regularly). If you want anything from the variety show capital of the world I'll try to get it for you!Shout out.

Jian Wei is the known victim of the Bangkok airport closure, delaying his return from Laos by about 5 days. He's safe and sound now though!

From the first pic... that reminds me. I've just finished Call of Duty: World at War! Somehow it just manages to convey emotions of war to the player, but I know this is nothing compared to being on the field, knowing that there's a 80% chance you'll won't make it back. According to the game, 60 million people died as a result of WWII. This carnage of such magnitude should never happen again. Not at any cost.

The last pic is supposed to be folk art of people in the village going about their daily chores. Looking at the woman....i'm not so sure.

Well, we got a NTUC card courtesy of LJ! So the chalet'll be much cheaper.

If possible we'll upgrade to a duplex, so theres like HECTARES more space. And for $20 more only.

Date is 24 25 26 December, its really not so easy to coordinate all dates together as a better one, 'cos X mas season is generally a huge stand down( for me at least).

I guess chalet may be all over unless you all want to pay about $60 per person, or you know someone in high places. And even that is at costa sands. $578 for 24-26 December. Life is slightly better with 29-31 December though, at $450. Or you want it on January? Less people and we're still on holiday(most of us). Or not, as EDMW says, LLST liao lor.

I'm sure most of you know about the word "f**k". Chances are you hear it at least once everyday, either from someone else or from your own mouth. You'll also find that it is one of the most versatile, if not THE most versatile word in the English vocabulary. You name it, we'll put it in a f**king sentence for you, no matter what the f**k.

Now though, with the ingenuity of some fellow (ex)classmates, we have a substitute! And we don't have to censor this one 'cos the Americans still don't know it yet.

NED!!!!!

The word "ned" is derived from the word "need", but as with the degeneration of the human civilization, one "e" has been omitted to save 0.0002 calories.

"Ned" was first coined together with the term "ned chez", which meant "need cheese". Classmates visiting AMK Hub were addicted to bars of fried cheese sold in the basement.

It soon became a drug like substance, and they have been roaming the land ever since for this decidedly rare breed of cheese, uttering "ned chez" in times of deprivation.

Over time, "chez" was soon rendered a bit of a tongueful, and people stuck with "ned".

Ned, like f**k, can be used to describe pleasure, pain, hate and love. We will explore the various usages of the term that so rightfully deserves its place in the dictionary.

A few examples:

People:
That guy is so ned.
"Ned" in this case, could mean the guy is cool, ugly, idiotic, hilarious, interesting, whatever. Judgement on the exact meaning of the term will have to be made on sight. Distinctive could sum it up here.

Materialism:
This shirt is so ned la.
It could mean a very "loud" shirt, extremely over the top, which is almost always the case. Otherwise it could mean that the shirt is extremely nice.

Actions:
Ned la you.
Signifies bitchiness, indifference, selfishness, shamelessness. The trend here is rather on a negative note.

Academics:
You got such a ned score siol.
Again, it could mean that the mark is very high, or simply pathetic

Ned answer.
Generally utterly stupid answer. Comes with stupid questions normally. XD

I'm sure you can think of many other uses for the term, but for now let us toast the birth of this new word to replace an ageing expletive.

Ned. Its the new f**k. Of sorts.
